Soldiering on: Explaining the changing profile of volunteers after the pandemic among Romanian youths

Brief Overview

We analyze Romanian youths who volunteered before and after the pandemic using survey data and structured interviews with CSO leaders. We find that the post-Covid profile shifts to the “crisis engagement” profile from the “civic virtue” profile.
