Foreign Aid, Rivalry, and the Publicity of Interstate Militarized Disputes

Brief Overview

With a focus on China, this paper argues that foreign aid and investment decrease the likelihood that a recipient state will publicize militarized disputes when those disputes involve a donor or investor country being a rival.
