Based on a 2020 virtual panel session for the Mid-Western Educational Research Association entitled Racism and Anti-Racism in the Academy and K-12 Schooling: Multiple Perspectives, this alternative session continues that conversation about the critical issues of racial inequality, white supremacy, educational policies and practices, third spaces, and identities - so that our work as educational researchers matters. In this panel presentation, chapter authors of a new edited volume on antiracist education research will first share a summary of their antiracist work in teacher education. Next, the editors of the book will then facilitate an organic conversation about the intersection of the panel’s interests in the teaching of preservice teachers.
