Teacher self-efficacy has been an important factor in teacher education. Our research
aims to examine the relationship between teacher self-efficacy, job satisfaction and
teacher commitment. Data was collected from large school district in South-west of
United States using online survey. The majority of the sample (n=1418) was female
(73.9%) and White (73.8%). To examine the relationship between teacher self-efficacy,
job satisfaction and teacher commitment, we conducted a path analysis. While teacher
self-efficacy does not have direct effect on teacher commitment, it has indirect effect,
through job satisfaction, on teacher commitment. Job satisfaction has direct effect on
teacher commitment. Based on our study, increasing teacher self-efficacy increase job
satisfaction and job satisfaction has statistically significant effect on teacher commitment.
