This Research in Progress proposal examines the potential for relationship-rich education to help rebuild trust in public schools by first strengthening relationships between teachers and students inside classrooms and then branching out to the wider school community. Once stronger relationships are developed, and students feel a deeper sense of belonging due to the efforts made by their teachers to practice relationship-rich education, a more meaningful learning experience could lead to more positive essential outcomes, including a renewed sense of trust in public schools.
