This panel presentation, facilitated by faculty from a University Based Evaluation Center, will feature graduate research assistants engaged in federally funded grants in which they evaluate educational initiatives. Through their experiences, the panelists will explore key themes such as balancing conflicting roles, centering equity and accessibility, and navigating compartmentalized roles within evaluation projects. This panel aims to provide graduate students’ insights into the challenges faced, lessons learned, and personal and professional growth encountered by graduate students in the field of educational evaluation and research. Audience participation will be encouraged as we explore how to prepare future researchers and evaluators for complex and ever-changing work.
