This session will discuss in-progress research investigating barriers disabled students experience when connecting with a Disability Service Office at a Midwestern State institution. The researcher is applying critical disability theory (DisCrit) to a Case Study, centering disabled student voices, faculty, and staff involved in the identification and accommodation determination phases. Emergent themes include unclear policies, the importance of advocates, and a need help navigate confusing processes.
