This qualitative study explores the lived experiences of high school students participating in Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) projects. By delving into students' perceptions, challenges, and roles within YPAR, we aim to uncover the transformative potential of this approach in fostering equitable, collaborative learning environments. Through semi-structured interviews, focus groups, and reflective journals, we gather rich data on students' YPAR experiences, which are analyzed using thematic analysis with the active involvement of student co-researchers. The findings are expected to inform pedagogical practices, policies, and youth development programs prioritizing student empowerment and social justice. Ultimately, this study contributes to the growing movement towards engaged scholarship and participatory research, amplifying youth voices in academic discourse and social change.
