The university research team and teachers across multiple school districts across Southern California are engaged in research-practice partnerships to co-design a computer science curriculum (IMPACT), taught in an interactive coding language, Scratch. The IMPACT curriculum integrates computational thinking, community-based environmental literacy, and data literacy for elementary school students, particularly for Latinx multilingual students.
