Summary

A self-guided program that incrementally increased children’s exposure to nature (e.g., scale and wildness) positively impacted their comfort in nature, and understandings about ecosystems and nature processes. After completing the program, children exhibited curiosity about natural and scientific phenomena beyond the program focus as a result of their participation.
