Summary

We present new theoretical concepts to reimagine education for community resilience to natural hazards that is transformative. We show how educational practices could become socially transformative through theories of relationality, Ricoeurian philosophy and a Sphere of Influence Framework - common to international relations but never applied to environmental education.
