Pennsylvania recently revised science standards for the first time in 20 years. The initial proposal demoted and de-emphasized environment and ecology. The EE community responded with a focused advocacy campaign that resulted in the Science, Technology & Engineering, Environmental Literacy and Sustainability (STEELS) Standards.
