Summary

The paradox of environmental action is that we need individuals to address the climate crisis. Yet, in learning about the severity of climate change, people often disengage to protect their well-being. Motivational systems theory informs this quantitative research, which seeks to understand what motivates healthy engagement with the climate crisis.
