Summary

Preservice teachers visit a cave for one day during their Elementary Science Methods course to help them learn essential content about caves. Misconceptions of preservice teachers often mirror student misconceptions. Determining misconceptions about karst and caves will help build appreciation and knowledge for conservation of this fragile natural resource.
