This study investigated how representatives of the fossil fuel industry engaged in systematic campaigns to influence the portrayal of climate change, fossil fuels, and renewable energy in the Texas science standards. The findings suggest policy networks are powerful agents capable of impacting the scientific content taught in public schools.
