The results of this investigation, in which the robustness of inoculation is for the first time subjected to multiple attacks, indicate that although the effectiveness of inoculation strategy was somewhat weakened by introducing an additional attack, inoculation is still a more capable strategy to protect individualsÂ’ attitudes compared with supportive, restoration, or no strategy. The effectiveness of the theory was not moderated by the nature of the second attack (same as the first vs. a novel attack).
