Public sphere studies enjoys an ongoing vitality within our discipline. This scholarship both draws upon and enriches work done in rhetoric, argumentation, body theory, and media studies, among others. Public sphere scholarship is not easily categorized, but instead represents an array of critical perspectives and social theories. This panel examines the past, present, and future contributions that public sphere studies offers the wider discipline.
