This study demonstrated that relational uncertainty mediates the relationship between interior privacy orientation and relational quality. The findings led to the development of a new communication model that explains how, interior privacy management orientations and relational uncertainty predict relational quality. The model also provides theoretical and practical implications about the understudied relationship between communication privacy management theory, specifically the interior construct, and relational uncertainty.
