This study extends uses and gratifications research. The analysis examined the potential relationship between uses and gratifications, religiosity, and religious denomination. The study hypothesized a positive correlation between television viewersÂ’ gratifications sought and obtained. Survey data were collected from 959 participants ranging in age from 18 to 78. Of the possible correlations between gratifications sought and obtained, results were mixed. Unlike previous research, religious denomination and religiosity did not correlate with gratifications sought or obtained.
