Abstract

Pursuing a graduate degree seemed like the best choice for both my future and my son's. It wasn't until I began my master's program that I realized the true cost(s) of my higher education. I also realized that I am not the only one paying for it. In the face of pending Ph.D. admissions, I ponder whether it is possible to be both a good graduate student and a good mom.
