Architectural Communication Privacy Management in the Workplace

Abstract

This ethnographic study examines the role of the physical environment in communication privacy management and identifies workplace design features that different job types perceive as impacting privacy in individual and group work. The study determined that the physical environment appears to play a crucial role in regulating privacy across job types.
