Abstract

PROJECT RUNWAY, a skills based reality television program on Bravo, is known for its campy and talented gay male contestants. This study explores viewers’ perceptions of the program and its cast. Chiefly, this study investigates the relationship between entertainment, enjoyment and likeability and the perceived gay male stereotypes of the competitors using a survey method employed after 93 participants viewed an episode of PROJECT RUNWAY.
