Abstract

Drawing from postcolonial and Subaltern Studies theories, this autoethnography performs scholarship in subalternity as it engages with the erasures, silences, and omissions propagated through the epistemological and ontological tools of US-based Communication knowledge production systems. The stories scripted together in this essay offer openings for engaging with subalternity, both in the realm of creating discursive spaces for listening to subaltern voices and disrupting mainstream academic structures that resubalternizes the subaltern.
