Patients sometimes invoke 3rd party observations as a warrant for seeking a doctors advice.
We analyze a case in which a patient invokes a 3rd partys observation, casting the observers stance toward the patients problem as (initially) less concerned than the patient casts himself as being. We show how this invocation allows the patient to more effectively account for his visit to the doctor.
