This essay presents a first-person perspective toward the communicative constitution of organization (CCO) by focusing on the way individuals manage constitution from within the flow of communication. Drawing on relational social constructionism, the concepts of resonant positioning, reflective positioning, and reflexive positioning are offered as means to explore the ways spontaneous expressive as well as thoughtful reflective activity connect with the constitution of organization. Implications for future research from a first-person CCO perspective are presented.
