Session Submission Type: Paper Session
These papers investigate what the American philosopher and psychologist, William James, has to say about the ever-changing activity of communication. James is a vitally important figure in American studies, but he has yet to be comprehensively examined for what his thought has to offer the field of communication studies. His radical pluralism and under-explored moral writings will be employed to account for flux and stability in communication, with benefits for both communication and rhetorical theory.
