The Dissertation as Product of Stability and Change: Experiences of Graduate Education, Mentoring and Being Mentored

Abstract

This theme panel will create a conversation about the dissertation as a product of stability and change and about the advisor/advisee relationship as a context for stability and change. Each paired presentation will consist of a newly finished PhD presenting research and an advisor discussing how the project both rested on and change existing literature. Each pair will discuss the ways in which issues of stability and change evolved in their relationship and in the dissertation project.
