Session Submission Type: Scholar to Scholar Session

Abstract

Scholars have investigated group learning in various educational settings with students of varying ability levels. However, researchers often overlook student perspectives. Past results demonstrate academic and social benefits for participants, but these results are predominantly a product of instructor assessment rather than student feedback. Preliminary findings in the current study indicates student agreement with past results, but also includes specific suggestions for improved group functioning.
