Session Submission Type: Panel Discussion
The theme Discourses of Stability and Change presents a timely opportunity to explore challenges and questions raised in growing research of religious discourse in American culture. Such works, which observe ethnicity, gender, and science as major dimensions of U.S. public discourses, are most visible in history, sociology, political science, and religious studies. This roundtable convenes scholars representing a broad range of approaches to address key challenges and questions of these underdeveloped areas of religious communication studies.
