Session Submission Type: Panel Discussion
This roundtable begins with Robert Coxs framing of environmental communication as a crisis discipline, a discipline that entails both the criticism of pressing environmental problems and the construction of alternatives. Roundtable participants from rhetoric, policy studies, and environmental engineering use the lens of their collaborative work to consider how to approach the construction of alternatives in situations that involve scholars, practitioners, and publics who may or may not share the same discourses, practices, and goals.
