This panel is concerned with the paucity in literature on social class. In order to emphasize the importance of studying social class in various areas of communication, the papers on this panel present a discourse of change by centralizing class issues across the discipline of communication. Each author will focus on a specific area in the discipline, addressing social class in Interpersonal Communication, Critical Communication Pedagogy, American Studies, Political Communication, and Intercultural Communication.
