Session Submission Type: Paper Session
These papers elucidate several fascinating aspects of social cognition. One examines how the accessibility of cognitive schemata work within the interpretation of social situations critical to the process of social support. Another looks at processing speed, cognitive tempo, and need for cognitive structure within narrative production. A third reports findings demonstrating how inoculation messages may confer broad-based resistance to persuasive attacks that are only loosely related to each other (binge drinking and unsafe sex).
