Abstract

Martin and Nakayama (2010) remind us that it is “not always evident or obvious how power influences communication” (p. 110). To students, power in the classroom may feel obvious, but do they recognize how it affects communication? This simple activity seeks to help students understand and begin to talk about power and communication.
