Within the context of the current digital age, the performance of everyday life is uniquely impacted by our smartphones, palm devices and cellphones. Based in autoethnographic and ethnographic research, this one-person show interrogates how individuals in U.S. society are negotiating the new demands on (dis-)embodied performance and interpersonal communication. In nine performance art monologues, Goins deconstructs the implications of tapping and double tapping to (dis-)connect and (re-)present our digital performances.
