Abstract

Human capital decisions matter to organizations. In attempts to invest wisely, some organizations
engage in cybervetting, a relatively new strategy that takes advantage of information available from
online sources such as social network sites (SNS), to perform informal background checks of current
and prospective employees (Berkelaar, 2008).
