This paper examines the Black Arts Movement with special reference to the forgotten contributions of Black Panthers Bobby Seale, George Mason Murray, and Emory Douglas. It also examines the social backgrounds of Seale, Murray, and Douglas. In addition, this paper explores the activities of Seale, Murray, and Douglas with the Black Arts Movement in and around San Francisco from 1965 to 1967. This paper argues that Bobby Seale, George Mason Murray, and Emory Douglas made very valuable contributions to the Black Arts Movement.
