Global Black Studies: Exchanges With Folk Abroad & New Perspectives on the Field

Abstract

The goal of this roundtable is to officially launch the mission of the NCBS Board’s International Committee. Our committee members will discuss and invite listeners into a broad conversation about the impact of Black Studies perspectives being embraced and applied outside of the United States context, themes in Black Studies research that continue to stretch the landscape of the field by engaging cross cultural exchanges and experiences among people in the African world, and the future of Black Studies programs who curate study abroad experiences and relationships in African countries that align with the liberatory thrust of our Black Studies foundation.
