How can Large Language Models Revolutionize Learning Analytics?

Abstract

Large language models continue to revolutionize all aspects of education, including learning
analytics. In this study, we summarize the literature on the ongoing challenges in the design and
application of LA in education, explain how large language models be leveraged to address these
challenges, and offer directions for future research.
