MST Calibration: Impact of Software and Priors on Parameter Recovery

Abstract

Given the proliferation of commercial and open-source IRT software, with varying
capabilities and supporting documentation, the evaluation and comparison of these software
programs is critical. This study aims to evaluate item parameter recovery in an MST for the most
popular programs. Examined factors include priors, sample size, and ability distributions.
