Contextual predictors of academic success: Findings from the Pacific Islands

Sat, April 13, 11:25am to 12:25pm, Convention Center, Floor: First, 121A

Abstract

The study uses data from the only regional large-scale assessment in the Pacific Islands to investigate which contextual factors predict achievement in primary age students, using multi-level models. Results show that a range of student characteristics and school level factor contribute to models of achievement.
