Detecting Test Cheating A Comparison of Statistical Tests and Machine Learning Methods

Abstract

Detecting test cheating behaviors remains to be a challenge field in educational assessments. In this study, several psychometric and machine learning methods based on item scores and response times are implemented for detecting test cheating. Their performance in cheating detection is compared through the simulation study.
