In an era of 24/7 media coverage, how the media presents global news and events matters greatly. What is the responsibility of the media when discussing mass killings, especially ones that could be labeled genocide? In this paper, I discuss two mass killings-Central African Republic and Gaza-to examine how the media coverage can differ significantly, and why it can be controversial.
