With the wars that were (are) raging in Syria, Gaza, and Lebanon rebuilding the economies is a necessity for the suffering people and for stability of the region. Each of these wars have devastated the infrastructure, the homes, health facilities, and the industrial base of the areas involved. Politically the leadership and economic institutions have been shattered. Issues of including minorities in economic and political growth are clearly a challenge. This panel will address the social, political and economic issues surrounding the rebuilding of Lebanon, Syria, the WEst Bank and Gaza.
