Reimagining Undergraduate Education: Models for Undergraduate Research and Internships in Gender and Women’s Studies

Abstract

This presentation offer three models for undergraduate research and internships and highlights opportunities for scholarship and activism that projects like this offer undergraduate students in gender and women’s studies. These opportunities constitute high-impact learning practices, according to the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AACU), and are essential to undergraduate education, both in terms of their collaborative approaches to knowledge-building and in their ability to “reimagine the sites and spaces where it might take place” (NWSA 2018 cfp).
