Session Submission Type: Roundtable
This roundtable explores curricular interventions that confront campus sexual violence. The participants will evaluate and compare their various experiences, which include a peer education course, development of innovative curricular materials, a team-taught course designed to introduce entering students to various disciplinary perspectives of sexual violence (the effectiveness of which was evaluated by a study using pre-post surveys, assignment content analysis, and student interviews), and facilitating discussions with faculty about integrating sexual violence topics into the classroom. The goal is to generate dialogue about the role Women’s and Gender Studies (WGS) programs can play in confronting sexual violence on campus.
