Session Submission Type: Roundtable
Not often associated or connected as political allies, Palestine and Taiwan are rarely juxtaposed for political discussions or comparative analyses. Nor are they seen as natural comrades in liberation movements. Feminist activist scholars long engaged in the struggles and liberation for/in the two precarious nation-states argue otherwise. In this roundtable, we assemble a roundtable of feminist activist scholars across generations and many other divides for a first feminist comparative analysis for narratives of opportunities and solidarity for sovereignty, Indigenous rights, and anti-militarism in Taiwan, Palestine, and beyond.
