Referencing Sherna Berger Gluck and Daphne Patai's Women's Words, as well as the work of Joan Scott (“Gender: Still a Useful Category of Historical Analysis”), Kristina Minister (“A Feminist Frame for the Oral History Interview”) and Anne Butler and Gerri Sorenson (“Patching the Past: Students and Oral History”), this paper considers the relevance of the late 20th Century scholarship on the feminist practice of oral history to the current generation of oral history students and offers new insights into the application of the feminist practice in the documentation of women’s history in the 21st century.
