Lessons About Classroom Collaboration From an Informal Math Learning Longitudinal Study

Description

Pedagogies that center on student mathematical discourse can be challenging to implement in standard classroom environments. In the current investigation teachers, when presented with an opportunity to engage with students in an informal mathematics learning environment, reflect on their professional development. They report on the impact of their earlier experiences and their beliefs or current practices as mathematics educators and professionals regarding working collaboratively to support student learning.
