The continuing working group, Conceptualizing the Role of Technology in Equitable Mathematics Classrooms (TechQuity), plans to extend the conversation on technology’s role in fostering equity in mathematics classrooms. Initiated at PME-NA 2023, the group explored intersections of technology- and equity-centered mathematics teaching by developing a framework and forming subgroups based on research interests. While past sessions were successful, the complexity of technology’s role remains vast, and emerging technologies like AI require diverse approaches. This year, we aim to expand our community and collaboratively build sustainable research programs dedicated to TechQuity in mathematics education.
