Providing preservice teachers with opportunities to integrate knowledge is a critical component of preparing them to teach. Knowledge integration becomes even more challenging for preservice teachers given university structures where content and pedagogy preparation are often separated. In this paper, we explored resource leveraging from different environments to promote knowledge integration in preservice teachers. Findings indicated that leveraging resources from multiple environments was associated with more events of potential knowledge integration. We provide suggestions for leveraging more knowledge resources into teacher education courses that can create resource rich environment more conducive for knowledge integration.
